Plumas Bank offers a 24-hour a day, 7-day a week, TeleBank Service that gives you quick and easy access to information about all your checking and savings accounts, CD's, and loans you have with us. You can instantly obtain your account balance and receive a fax statement; verify deposits, checks and other recent transactions, (including merchant check verification); ascertain interest earned or paid; find out about our CD rates; and receive information on Plumas Bank hours, locations, and other important information. To access this service, simply dial 1-800-5-PLUMAS, (dial 530-283-6840 in the Quincy area), from any touch-tone phone in the United States.

Night Depository Services »

This service is for any customer who wants to make deposits when the Bank is closed, or who wants to avoid coming into the Bank. Deposits are processed each morning prior to the Bank's opening time. Regular customers may make a deposit through the envelope slot. Business customers may obtain a key to the depository chute and receive Bank-issued bags to make deposits of cash and/or large amounts of checks.

Wire Transfer Services (Incoming) »

Offers an electronic means of transferring money from another financial institution to your account at Plumas Bank. This method allows funds to be immediately available once wire transfer is received.

Wire Transfer Services (Outgoing) »

Offers an electronic means of transferring money from Plumas Bank account to account at another financial institution. A fast way to send funds, this service facilitates certain business transactions.

Fees: Domestic Outgoing wire: $25 per wire. International Outgoing wire: $50 per wire.

Safe Deposit Boxes »

For customers with valuables to store such as jewelry, important documents, and coins, Plumas offers secure boxes in the Bank's vault. For extra security, each box requires 2 keys to open it - one that belongs to the customer (customer receives 2 copies of this key) and the other that belongs to the Bank. Neither party can open the box alone. Customers can rest assured valuables are safe.

Money Orders »

Provides customers with a means of guaranteed funds payment. Customer purchases the money order check with cash or with funds drawn on a Plumas Bank account. The Bank imprints the check with the designated amount (maximum amount is $1,000) and the customer fills in name of the payee. If check is lost or stolen payment can be stopped

Fees: $4 each

Traveler’s Checks »

For customers who are travelling and need a safe alternative to carrying cash. Traveler's checks can be used in place of cash to make purchases or pay expenses.

Cashier’s Checks »

Offers customers an easy way to provide guaranteed funds to a payee. The customer purchases the check with cash or with funds drawn on a Plumas Bank account. The Bank prepares the check and makes the signature. Payment can be stopped if check is lost or stolen.

Fees: $6 each

Notary Services »

For customers who have a legal document that needs to be notarized. Plumas Bank has several Notary Publics who can provide this service. Customers need to bring in the document and sign it in the presence of the Notary. The Notary then verifies the identity of the customer, applies a special notary stamp to the document, and signs the document.

Fees: $10 per signature

For customers who want to ensure against costly and embarrassing overdraft charges.

Automatic Social Security Deposits »

If you receive regular checks, this service offers a convenient method to deposit funds. Your paychecks, dividend checks, or other regular payments will be electronically deposited into your account so that funds are available immediately. This service prevents the risk of payments getting lost in the mail, saves you the hassle of making a trip to the Bank, and eliminates the time of waiting for paychecks to clear.

Installment Collections »

Offers customers a time-saving means of collecting payment on a signed note (i.e. a second trust deed).

Fees: $40 – set up; $8/month – processing fee; $5/additional disbursement; $15/history statement; $4/check disbursement

Regular Periodic Savings Plan »

Automatically deposits a designated portion of customer's paycheck into a savings account.

Stop Payment »

You can place a Stop-Payment Order on any check or electronic funds payment against your account.

Fees: $22 each, initial or renewal if done by contacting your branch.  $20 if done through NetTeller.

US Savings Bond »

This service is for any Plumas Bank customer who wishes to purchase or cash a US savings bond.  You can visit any of our locations to purchase or sell US savings bonds.

Direct Deposit/ACH »

Too busy to get to the bank?  Try our Direct Deposit service.  This service lets your, paychecks, dividend checks or any other regular payments be deposited in your account without you ever having to deposit a check. 

Benefits:

  • Payment cannot be lost in the mail.
  • Saves a trip to the Bank.
  • Funds are available immediately.  No waiting for a check to clear.
  • Funds are posted to the account more quickly then when they are mailed to the Bank.
